- Noncompliance with State Election Laws – The petitions cite violations of HRS §11-155, HAR §3-177-453, and other laws requiring ballot reconciliation, public disclosure of discrepancies, and audits to verify election integrity.
- Election Commission Inaction – Despite clear evidence of discrepancies, the Hawaii Elections Commission has failed to conduct an audit or investigation.
Demands for Legislative Action:
- Launch a Formal Legislative Investigation into ballot handling and election certification failures.
- Strengthen Ballot Tracking Laws to ensure proper documentation and oversight of ballot collection and processing.
- Conduct a Full Post-Election Audit of the 2024 election to reconcile ballot counts and verify compliance with election laws.
- Rescind Certification of Close Races where discrepancies exceed the margin of victory.
- Mandate Public Disclosure of Ballot Overages and Underages before election results are certified.
- Request a Judicial Review of Certification Validity to determine whether the election met legal requirements.
